Insurance & Fees

We check your benefits before you arrive. You decide with full information.

Financial uncertainty is one of the main reasons patients put off treatment. Our approach is simple: you know what to expect before anything begins.

How It Works

No surprises. Every step is explained before we start.

We know that cost is a real concern. Our job is to make sure you have accurate information — not an unpleasant surprise when you get home.

  • 01
We check your benefits before your appointment Before you arrive, we contact your insurance carrier and verify your coverage. You will know what to expect financially before treatment begins — not after.
  • 02
We give you an estimate before we start Once your doctor has evaluated your tooth, you receive a written estimate for your treatment plan. We do not begin treatment until you have had a chance to review it.
  • 03
Payment is due at the time of service We collect your estimated patient portion at the time of service. We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover.
  • 04
If insurance pays differently than estimated, we sort it out If your carrier pays less than the estimate, we will send you a statement for the remaining balance. If they pay more than expected, you will receive a refund. Carriers typically take four to six weeks to process claims.
Insurance Coverage

In-network with most major dental plans.

Being in-network means our fees are covered at a higher percentage than if you went to an out-of-network provider. In practical terms, that usually means a lower patient co-pay for you.

We contact your insurance on your behalf, verify your benefits, and provide you with an accurate estimate of your co-pay before treatment begins. Your policy is between you and your carrier — but we do the legwork to help you understand what it covers.

Please note: an estimate is just that. Carriers occasionally pay differently than estimated. If that happens, we will contact you and explain exactly what changed.

Plain Talk

Your insurance limits their costs. We're here to help you navigate that.

Insurance policies are written to limit what carriers pay — not to maximise your care. We know that. Our job is to do everything within the system to get you the most coverage you are entitled to, and to be honest with you about what that means for your out-of-pocket costs.

Any charges not covered by your insurance plan are your responsibility. We will tell you that clearly before treatment begins — never after.

"The main thing I loved about my experience was that the office checked my benefits before my visit. I had bad experiences in the past where I felt trapped with an unexpected bill. Here they checked and notified me beforehand, and I made an informed decision before going there."

Common Questions

What patients ask about insurance and payment.

Are you in-network with my insurance?
Endospecialists is an in-network provider with most major dental insurance plans. In-network means your fees are typically covered at a higher percentage than if you were treated by an out-of-network provider. Call us with your insurance details and we can confirm your specific coverage before your appointment.
What if my insurance doesn't cover everything?
Any charges not covered by your insurance plan are your responsibility. We are straightforward about this from the start. We will give you an accurate estimate of your patient portion before treatment begins — and we will work hard to maximise what your insurance does cover.
Do I need to bring my insurance card?
Yes — please bring your insurance card and any referral slip from your dentist to your first appointment. If you have had recent X-rays taken (within the last six months), ask your dentist to forward them to us. This saves time and helps us process your claim.
How long does insurance take to pay?
Most carriers process claims within four to six weeks. Occasionally it takes longer. We will follow up with your insurance company on your behalf and notify you if there is a balance remaining after they have paid.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover. Please call us to ask about additional payment options.
Is endodontic treatment covered by insurance?
Root canal treatment is generally covered by dental insurance as a restorative procedure, though coverage levels vary by plan. More advanced procedures — such as retreatment or apicoectomy — may be covered differently depending on your policy. We verify your specific benefits before treatment begins.
